Dr Neeraj Vyas is a registered specialist Oral Surgeon. He completed undergraduate dentistry at Griffith University and his specialist training at Nepean Hospital through the University of Sydney which included working at a wide range of other hospitals across Sydney and rural NSW.
Prior to commencing his specialist training in Oral Surgery, Neeraj completed residency programs in both Oral Surgery (Sydney Dental Hospital) as well as Oral Medicine and Special Needs Dentistry (Westmead Hospital) where he gained a wealth of experience in managing patients with dental, medical and surgical complexities. Additionally, he gained further experience in the management of patients with acute oral and dental pain and dental emergencies in the Department of Emergency Dentistry at Westmead Hospital for two years.
One of Neeraj’s great passions has been to address health inequalities in the Australian population and the delivery of Oral Surgery services in regions where specialist care is not readily available. He has completed a Graduate Certificate in Management (Social Impact) and has presented his research in Indigenous Australian Oral Health at various national and international conferences. Neeraj is currently Secretary for the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral Surgeons and remains involved in organising continuing education for dentists and oral surgeons and has also been involved in the teaching and clinical training of undergraduate dentists at the University of Sydney since 2018.
Neeraj holds appointments as a Visiting Specialist Oral Surgeon through the oral health units at Campbelltown Hospital and Tamworth Base Hospital. There he also maintains a role in clinical and community research and supervision of trainee oral surgeons. Neeraj consults privately at the Oral Facial and Implant Surgery rooms in Liverpool and Narellan with operating privileges at Sydney Southwest Private Hospital and Camden Surgical Hospital.
